MEETING MINUTES -- DECEMBER 7, 2004 The Ashawa Ski Trail Club met December 7, 2004 at the South Switch Bar and Restaurant, at 6:30 p.m. Present were Pat and Karen McDermott, Dale and Nan Lundblad, Mike and Barb Wilson, Jeff and Kathy Elliott and Eric Hanson. The minutes were approved as read. There was not a Treasurer's Report as Lori Peetsch was unable to attend. Under old business Pat and Mike will work on repairing the J-7 when they are able to get to it. Trail maintenance was discussed and a work day was set for Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. The work crew volunteers will meet at the Wood Loop and decide how it will be groomed and maintained. Eric suggested making the trail smooth enough so they can be groomed with less snow depth. That may be something for future consideration but the Club does not, presently, have the appropriate equipment or funds to accomplish this. Equipment needs were discussed with the report that both snowmobiles are working and in use. An addition to look for is a 10' X 12' trailer for hauling the snowmobiles and grooming equipment. The new trail maps are done and a big thank you should go to Dave Yapel for a fine job. An order is in to the DNR Trails and Waterways for trail hazard signs that will be posted. Jim and Carol will put the signs up. The membership renewal letter will go out in January. The next meeting is January 4, 2005 at the Harvest Moon restaurant at 6:30 p.m. Secretary - Karen McDermott
